Homemade fruit leather is a tad fiddly but once you taste them you will realise it was worth the effort. These are a great way to use up sad fruit and veg. And serve fruit and veg in a different way

  • 1 cup roasted or steamed pumpkin
  • 1 cup peeled apple
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon


  1. Prepare pumpkin or you can use leftover pumpkin for this recipe
  2. Preheat oven to 65°C (or use a deydrator if you have one)
  3. Blend all ingredients together to a puree
  4. Tranfer to saucepan and cook until simmering
  5. Carefully spread a thin layer on some baking paper or use a silicon baking mat for a shinier finish
  6. Place in the oven for 8 hours or until it changes from creamy to clear in colour
  7. Cut into pieces
