hot banana and berry porridge

Ingredients

 

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 ripe banana smashed (a little under mashed)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • Sprinkle cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen berries

 

Directions

 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a pot
  2. Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon until mixture begins to bubble and thicken (about 6 minutes)
  3. Enjoy warm

 

Notes

Try using different fruits, nuts, chia seeds or coconut in this recipe. If you want a quicker version some mornings you can try using quick oats.
