pita pizza

 

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of wholemeal pita bread
  • 1 can of tomato passata or tomato paste
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 3 slices of ham (look for a nitrate-free, natural ham)
  • veggies of your choice: red capsicum, zucchini, spinach leaves, canned  pineapple (drained), tomatoes, corn kernels (drained)

 

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
  2. Rip ham and slice veggies
  3. Spread passata/tomato paste over the pita bread base
  4. Sprinkle ham and veggies  over the pizza
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top
  6. Bake for 10 mins, until edges turn crisp

 

Note

You can make this with any of your favourite pizza toppings. Why not try tuna and corn pizza. It’s a quick and easy alternative to regular dough based pizza.
