Blog Winter Salads

The weather is getting colder and whilst I do love soups and stews, I also love warm salads. These salads are a great addition to any lunch or dinner meal. For an easy and delicious option- you can simply serve these salads with a piece of meat, fish or egg.

Here are my top five recipes from the Foost website:

1. Sweet Potato and Haloumi Salad

This is my kids’ favourite winter salad! The warm sweet potato with it’s coconut flavour, salty haloumi, fresh apple and crunchy cooked cranberries. Recipe here: sweet potato and haloumi salad

Years ago I remember making this recipe after eating a delicious pear salad in the middle of Winter in a lovely restaurant. Pears are best in winter so this recipe ticks both the warm and season boxes! Recipe here: warm pear salad
