A fun and mourish snack. Roasted chickpeas are a great addition to the kids lunchbox!

🍴Serves 2
🕒 Prep: 5mins Cook: 25-30mins

Ingredients

  • 400g can chickpeas, drained
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala OR seasoning of your choice

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 200°C
  2. Line baking tray with baking paper
  3. Dry chickpeas with paper towel
  4. Put chickpeas on lined baking tray
  5. Drizzle with olive oil
  6. Season with salt (optional) and Garam masala (or spice blend of your choice)
  7. Roast for 25-30 minutes until the chickpeas are a deep golden brown and crunchy (you want them crunchy but not burnt)

Notes

Serve warm or let cool

Try experimenting with spices: ¼ tsp Morrocan spice blend or sprinkle with cumin or cinnamon or paprika

Great addition to salads or on their own as a snack!
